The Food Scientist will be responsible for the safe and efficient development, modification and manufacture of the company's products and samples as well as leading developmental experiments in the production process.
• Support entire R&D team in attaining short-term and long-term development goals. Adapt to evolving scientific priorities • Provide written and verbal reports of research activities. Participate in R&D Meetings • Generate new product ideas and recipes, modify and improve existing recipes, develop prototypes • Develop processes for the production of recipes at large scale • Ensure that strict hygiene and food safety standards are met • Conduct production test runs • Collection and analysing data • Develop in-process and finished product specification • Generating ingredient statements and nutritional information
• Strong working knowledge of ingredient functionality and flavor, formulation, nutrition and food labeling regulations • Strong communication • Ability to independently manage multiple projects
• 3+ years experience working in food or beverages preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Food Science/Engineering or similar disciplines required, Master’s preferred
English required, Dutch preferred
